Photoshop CC Tutorials
This video teaches you how to use all the most common tools in Photoshop. He moves through everything very fast, but if you have Photoshop open and pause the video while doing what he is saying, it is a fast and easy way to learn how to use different tools. Some of the tools he explains how to use are layers including layer styles, rasterizer, and layer mask; and how to import a photo including scaling, rotating, and flipping. He also goes over how to change the hue, saturation, and vibrance of a photo; and how to invert, add effects, and add text to photos. The video ends with showing you how to save files.
How to Cut Out an Image - Remove and Delete a Background
In this video, I learned how to use the magnetic lasso tool. To use this tool you have to guide it around the object you want to select and it will automatically detect where the outline of an object in a photo is. Then you can adjust the setting to make it more accurate and paste the object and paste it in a new layer or photo. The video goes into more details of how to adjust the selection tool to get exactly what you want.
How to Creatively Blend Two Images
To create a blended image layer the picture you want on top of a background and use selection tools to select the part of the image you want to blend with the background. Then apply a layer mask. Then use blending options and use the brush tool to blend. Group your layers and use hue and saturation to get the composition you desire. Finally, use other tools such blur, paint bucket, and move tool to adjust the image and make it even more realistic.
Final Thoughts
My favorite video was the third video I watched about blending. He blended a girl in water with a road to create an image that looked like the road was water. I am familiar with Photoshop and enjoy using it, as I have used it in past classes, but I am looking forward to learning more about it and going more in depth with this app. I am excited to use these different tools and see what I will create in our class.
